LUCIANA MARIANO
Born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, Luciana is the third generation of naïve painters in her family. She has drawn and painted intensely since childhood, but never thought it could become a profession; in fact, it was an activity discouraged in her family. Until the age of 38, shy about her childlike style, everything she painted was immediately destroyed. In 2008, after a period of intense stress, she produced more than she could discard, and this excess became her first exhibition. From that moment on, she understood that painting could no longer be a secret hobby, and her career as a painter began. In 2018, she moved to Finland and became a Finnish citizen in 2023. Restarting her career in Finland allowed her to reinvent herself and revise her priorities. Now she wants to pursue new horizons in a more international career that will allow her to build a legacy in the arts. After nearly two decades of relentless production with no signs of slowing down, she feels that new ventures are necessary and the next inevitable step must be taken. And this may only be the beginning of what she believes she really needs to do.
