I have plenty of reasons to be sad and cry. But if I want, and I do, I can also find, for each and every one of these reasons, double as many blessings to be thankful for. For the first friends. REAL FRIENDS that are not here only for the fun and advantages I can mean, but for holding my hands when times are dark and hard, giving me their words and wisdom to make me better and stronger, sharing their lives so I can get a grasp of fresh air in times of despair. I am truthfully thankful for the kind of friends I let stay in my life just as well they do for me in theirs.
I am also thankful for my fragile and yet resilient health.
I am thankful for the presence of my son in my life, despite his young age that many times challenges my patience, but makes me never doubt my love.
I am thankful for being able to paint.
I am thankful for defying life itself and making this journey a worthwhile experience.
Happy thanksgiving… thank you Silvia and Chico (+Lucas and Marina) for your friendship, kindness and hospitality.
